LeTID

Our test device is designed for accelerated ageing tests on solar cells and can be used e.g. for LeTID (light and elevated temperature induced degradation) experiments. In order to achieve accelerated ageing of solar cells, it is possible to apply current and voltages via eight DC power supplies.

The basic tester is able to carry out all degradation tests in which current can induce the degradation mechanisms (CID - current induced degradation).  All evaluations are based on the IEC  TS 63342:2022 standard.

As an option, the test stations can be equipped with LED light sources and with IV tracers with MPP track functions

The devices can be used to perform accelerated ageing tests such as the LeTID test. This version is equipped with eight chucks for M12 solar cells, which can be heated and cooled between 20°C and 150°C. We provide eight DC power supplies to feed the current into the solar cells. The maximum current is 20A, the maximum voltage 10V.

The software allows the operator to configure the test very flexibly. It is possible to manually control the values for the applied voltage and current in CV or CC mode and to manually control the temperature. In addition, there is an advanced mode that allows the user to start events based on a specific trigger.
