EU Project Management

The PSE project management team has worked closely and successfully with many clients who are applying or working for publicly funded projects in solar energy and energy-optimised buildings. The application process for an EU project can be time consuming and involve many organizations. With a large network within the solar community, PSE can locate project partners, and prepare proposals that are well-received by the EU Commission.

Once funded, we can assist project partners with management and coordination of activities, ensuring good collaboration and productive effort towards the project research goals. PSE will develop and maintain a project website with project overview pages and an internal partners section for sharing contributions securely. Group communication tools such as Lotus Notes can be used to facilitate remote collaboration. In addition to sharing results among partners, PSE has established channels to disseminate key results to the public, generating greater awareness and support for the work.

On the administrative side, PSE will help manage reporting and budgeting requirements, making sure the project remains on track and successful in the eyes of the EU project funding office.

PSE has managed or currently manages projects under many EU and national programmes including:

• FP7, the Seventh Framework Programme for research and technological development under the Directorate-General Research (DG-RTD)
• The Directorate-General of Transport & Energy (DG TREN) which has since been split into DG ENER and DG MOVE.
• The Executive Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation (EACI) within the framework of the Intelligent Energy Europe Program.
• Other public programs such as EuropeAid, the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), and the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF).

In addition to project management skills, PSE will also contribute to project content. With extensive knowledge and contacts within the solar field, PSE can take responsibility for work package efforts such as market assessments and studies or creating connections to industry. Our strengths in project management and project content help each project partner focus their strengths towards an efficient and effective project outcome.
