Prof. Dr. Eicke Weber Joins Board of PSE AG

PSE AG, a specialised solar project company, is pleased to announce that Prof. Dr. Eicke Weber has joined the company's Board of Directors. Prof. Dr. Weber accepted the appointment after the recent retirement from the board of Dr. Armin Räuber.
Prof. Dr. Eicke Weber is the director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE) and a professor of physics and applied sciences at the Albert-Ludwig University of Freiburg, Germany. Leading a staff of over 900 people at Fraunhofer ISE, he directs the largest solar energy research institute in Europe.
Prof. Dr. Weber received his doctorate in Physics in 1976 and his habilitation in 1983 from the University of Cologne. Between 1983 and 2006 he was on the faculty of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering of the University of California, Berkeley. In 1991 he was made a Professor of Materials Science and in 2004 elected as chair of the Nanoscale Science and Engineering Graduate Group. In 2006 he received the Award of Merit (Bundesverdienstkreuz am Bande) of the German President. In 2010 he became a member of acatech, the German Academy of Science and Engineering.

Prof. Dr. Weber joins the current board which includes Dr. Volker Wittwer (Chair) and Dr. Joachim Luther.
