Façade Test Stand

Client: Concordia University, Montreal

To test solar building façades, PSE developed a façade test stand for Concordia University.  Artificial sunlight is generated and falls on the façade. Irradiation sensors mounted on a portal axis allow users to measure radiation in front of and behind the façade and thereby determine the transmission of energy. In addition, a specially developed air collector test stand tests the efficiency of façade-integrated air collectors.

A YouTube video shows exactly how the PSE test stands are put to use at Concordia.
