  • IP address of the requesting processor
  • Date/time of access
  • Filename and domain URL of the downloaded documents

Purpose of recording and storing the above mentioned data is to allow a connection setup to the website, for reasons of system security, for a technical administration of the network infrastructure and to enhance our services. The IP address will only be evaluated in a fraudulent event which harms the PSE network infrastructure.

Unless otherwise agreed, we won’t process any further personal data without obtaining your consent.

2. Utilization and dissemination of personal data

Utilization of personal data by PSE AG is limited to the causes as stated above and is only undertaken to the extent necessary. Personal data will not be disseminated to any third party and will not be transferred to government bodies/public authorities except in order to comply with mandatory national legislation or if the transfer of such data should be necessary in order to take legal action in the event of fraudulent access to the PSE network infrastructure.

3. Orders of products or information material

In case you order conference tickets, publications, information material or other goods provided by PSE AG via our website or the conference management system, the address data indicated will solely be used to process your order. If you register for a conference which belongs to a series of conferences, the personal information and address data provided by the participants will be held on a database and will be used for the next conference of the series. Personal data can be removed from this database at any time. Credit card information will not be stored on our server.

4. Mailings – newsletters and press information

Services such as newsletter mailings or press distributions may require prior registration to the PSE AG or the conference management system e-mail mailing list and might involve a longer-term storage of e-mail addresses. The data will only be used if it has been sent and confirmed by you in person and if you have given your consent for this use.

To register for a newsletter service provided by PSE AG, a valid e-mail address is required. PSE runs a double opt-in procedure for the newsletter subscription: After you have registered for the service and indicated your mail address, you will receive an e-mail containing a link to activate your registration. Your registration and confirmation will be recorded. No newsletter will be sent prior to the personal activation of the service. Without activation, the e-mail address will be erased from our database. You can unsubscribe to our newsletters at any time by sending an e-mail or by following the unsubscribe link at the end of the newsletter.

E-mail addresses for conference newsletters will be used to distribute the conference newsletter as well as further newsletters of the conference series. Participants who do not wish their email addresses to be used in the above described manner can ask PSE AG anytime to delete their personal information from the conference system.

5. Cookies

In certain exceptional cases concerning the website and especially the conference management system we may use cookies which place technical session-control data in your browser’s memory. This data is automatically erased when you close your browser.

Most browsers are accepting cookies in their default configuration. This can be prevented by changing the appropriate setting in the browser options. If your browser settings refuse all cookies, this may restrict the use of the conference management system in terms of functions that require you to be logged in (registration, paper upload, reviewing access) on our website.

Further details on the collection and use of your data and your rights and private sphere should be available in the data privacy policy of the provider. If you wish to avoid a link to any existing user account, make sure to log out before you visit our website.
